Torquay Pavilion.
Visual Identity
The Torquay Pavilion conceptual rebrand was part of my Final Major Project. The Pavilion has remained closed to the public since 2013, I identified its lack of identity as one of the main reasons for its repeated closure. I wanted to reposition the Pavilion as a space for the local community to be able to enjoy all year round.
The identity was inspired by the buildings architecture, with its striking shapes and bright worn copper roofs. I aimed to create a contemporary identity system that took a typographic serif character, found on an old programme dating back to 1921 and refreshing it within a sans serif typeface.
